Lagunitas "Censored" Copper Ale

I'm a big fan of the Lagunitas IPA. Solid, flavorful, dependable, and on the lower end of the alcohol spectrum for the style, it's always a hit at band practice or any other informal gathering. Lagunitas' Maximus Double IPA and Lil' Sumpin' Wild are also strong contenders in any power-beer throwdown.
So I picked up a six of their "Censored" Rich Copper Ale. And...I think this sixer will do me for a while. It's not that it's bad. It's just that beyond its lovely golden-red color it's not all that good. I'd describe the flavor as Budweiser with balls, and with a slightly sour finish. No complexity, no interest, nothing to really make you look forward to the next sip. But with a 6.75% ABV, you don't exactly want to rush through it either.
Come Spring, I'll give the Lagunitas Pils a try. But for the rest of winter, I'll be keepin' it round and brown with stouts, porters and brown ales. Brown.
