You don't have to be a tree hugging, sustainable-farming agri-wonk to enjoy Rogue "OREgasmic" Ale. Yes, this dark amber pale ale is part of the Newport, Ore. brewery's limited "Chatoe Rogue" series of beers, packed with "first-growth" ingredients from a backyard micro-hopyard and marketed as revolutionary sustenance. But its boozy blend of subtle hops and deep malts is so flavor-rich that even the 1% among are sure to swoon over this puppy. Its thick, frothy mouthfeel and lingering finish makes this beer fit to be savored.
There are no chemicals, preservatives or additives in this 22oz bomber—just proprietary malts, Willamette, Sterling, and Revolution hops, Pacman yeast and coastal water. At about eight bucks a pop, OREgasmic Ale is truly ace.
Goes well with episodes of Portlandia and the first self-titled album by Tragedy.
