To say I stumble upon new 'favorite' brews infrequently is an understatement—is itself an understatement. Lagunitas Imperial Red Ale won over my palette and my heart with a bitter approach and a sweet finish. The way it tempers delicate flavors prized inside a rugged taste is at the heart of this brews' success.

This truly imperial taste departs from the signature Lagunitas style while playing trumps to the classic red ale. "Imperial" on a label guarantees you and your glass are in store for a E-ticket ride, but unlike may other brewers the ride isn't needlessly wild. 

For a seasonal ale it really is hard to imagine why you wouldn't want this on the shelves year-round.

Pairs well with Big Star, Joe Walsh and Syl Johnson.
